Dallas is both experienced in business, construction and cabinets and finishing. He is from Victoria as well, and is very familiar to the neighbourhoods and amenities.This was all really important for us as we know Victoria only somewhat, and lived in Manitoba.

We actually bought without seeing the property. Dallas used FaceTime for our tour and was able to point out quality or issues.We emailed and phoned more than most people because we were not there, and Dallas always responded and got us the information we needed. Also with a very hot market, Dallas needed to be available to view as properties came up, and this was never a problem.

Dallas is very customer focused and professional. He always spoke to us in a respectful manner and went the extra mile to ensure we were looked after i.e. he had a contractor come into a property we were interested in to search for an underground oil tank on his own volition and set-up home inspections for us as part of our due diligence. He worked with us for months finding the right property in a hot market and we will gladly work with him in the future.

Dallas was pretty much sent down from heaven to help us buy a home. We had a brand new baby and were moving from Vancouver to Victoria, so not available to just run to any showing for lots of reasons. Dallas lined up anything we wanted to see at times that worked for us, and also made lots of good suggestions as we went. He made a suggestion that we passed on at first, and then regretted passing because he was totally right, it was a perfect fit. Lo and behold it came back on the market and Dallas jumped faster than anyone else, and even went to view it for us first when we couldn't make it to town that quickly. He gave us honest and straightforward advice (and pep talks!) as we went, and in the end we got the place we really wanted and needed at a great price. It wasn't super straightforward as a purchase (it had renters for example) but Dallas was able to navigate all of that with us and for us so we felt like we knew exactly what our obligations and right were. On top of all this he was prompt, thorough, never ever rushed, and really genuinely interested in understanding our needs and getting not just any place but the right place for us. He was truly invested in our best interests, and went above and beyond with communication, advice, and even insight on moving to Vic and what to know. The market was insane that month, inventory was crazy low, and we were only 2nd time buyers, so by no means experienced. I could not have been happier to have Dallas on our team, we were going through a crazy season of life (new baby, moving) and he calmed the waters when we really could have found ourselves struggling to keep up. We will be referring any and all of our friends to him in the Victoria area!

Dallas was outstanding. I met him through a friend and told him my situation. I am a young first-time home buyer who was struggling to get into the Victoria market. I was living in a terrible basement suite with a worse landlord and a November 1st deadline given my unique lease. Like many landlords, mine was hoping I would leave so he could increase rent.

Dallas was awesome. He was patient even after five showings proved fruitless. The final showing was what almost all agents struggle with, a For-Sale-By-Owner. The sellers were ruthless about lowering their price even though this was their second attempt at listing their home. I asked Dallas to be aggressive and he surpassed my expectations. I asked him to counter offer and he countered. He was a shrewd negotiator and after the fourth counter-offer he delivered. I obtained a beautiful 2676 sq ft home, with a suite, for a great price. We negotiated me being able to move into the suite a month before the December 1st closing, and even that all remediations (mold in attic, carpet cleaning, etc.) be completed in advance.

Dallas King's previous experience in trades is also invaluable. There was 454 sq ft of unfinished space that was already framed and wired and Dallas ballparked what it would cost to finish the space. He was within 10% of the final figure. He suggested quality tradespeople that he knew personally so I did not have to go through the dreadful process of trying to find reliable trades. All of them were terrific. Dallas King goes beyond the close and I strongly recommend him for anyone looking for their first home or purchasing a property with the intention to renovate. I rest easy knowing I have a reliable realtor on my side.

Dallas just helped us buy our first home, a condo in Oakland’s Victoria. Knowing what the current market is like here we went in to this expecting it to be a long and arduous experience. It wasn’t at all, we got our condo (which we love) within weeks. Dallas gave us great advice throughout and showed us some lovely places.
